Plant Tour of JSP
November 13th

JSP is opening their doors to show us their ~ 300,000 ft3 Butler PA plant. With roughly 200 employees and operating 24/7, this plant produces expanded polypropylene (EPP) and expanded polyethylene (EPE) particle foam products for a variety of markets including automotive, sporting goods, packaging, and building products. Newer products include TPU, TPO, PVDF, and PLA particle foams.  JSP also produces extruded polyethylene (crosslinked and non-crosslinked) and polypropylene foam products.

This tour will highlight JSP’s new landscaping products for Home Depot & Lowes, as well as their light weight structural ARPRO products.

Founded in 1962 in Japan, JSP (annual sales of $1B) is part of the Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Group (annual sales of $5B); and the world leader in production & development of ARPRO, and its many applications. JSP created a joint venture with ARCO Chemical in 1986 and later became JSP International in 1995. JSP’s plant locations include US, Mexico, Brazil, France, Germany, Czech Republic, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
