Leveraging 3.8 Billion Years of Innovation - by Emily Kennedy
Bio - Emily has a BA in International Relations (Minor: Environmental Studies) from Colgate University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Integrated Biosciences at the University of Akron as a Biomimicry Fellows. Emily’s graduate studies are sponsored by GOJO Industries, Inc. She spends two days a week embedded in GOJO’s R&D department supporting bio mimicry initiatives, and has been an active contributor on innovation projects including development of energy-efficient soap and sanitizer dispensing systems and preventive treatments for pressure ulcers. For her dissertation, she is developing reliable pathways to biomimetic solutions that can be easily implemented by corporate innovation teams.
