Monthly Meeting

NASA - John H. Glenn Research Center

Bryan K. Smith of NASA will discuss the Artemis Program whose objective is to land the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024. Innovative systems will be used to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. We will collaborate with commercial and international partners and establish sustainable exploration by 2028. The next giant step will be to send astronauts to Mars. NASA’s Glenn Research Center plays a critical role in the Artemis Program by developing cutting-edge in-space propulsion systems; designing robust power systems to extend missions; understanding how to use the local planetary resources to our benefit; and testing some of the most advanced spacecraft ever built.
